We've had planning meetings the past few weeks and new people coming to each. More connections into the communities of Detroit bringing people together to uplift the city through a great event.

Last night was a meeting at Traffic Jam and Snug. I had a pint of oatmeal stout which was delicious. Some fried pickels with sauce came out as an appetizer and the honey whole wheat bread must have had a touch of molasses for a rich brown glow.

Warrirogirl picked up 5,000 flyers for distribution and the attendees took stacks. Next weekend is the electronic music festival in Detroit - Movement with festivities May 21-25. There will be plenty of flyer distribution opportunities. Therefore we are likely looking for another print run within two weeks. This gives sponsors a week to get involved with a logo on the flyers.

Our conversation reviewed plans that have been in progress and we are weighing the options on how far and wide the event will reach. Ideally being in the midst of the neediest areas of the city would be ideal, however the distance may prove difficult to navigate as a large group.

Next Tuesday, May 19 will be a meeting at Spacewalk Headquarters rather than a restaurant. I'm interested in opening up a phone conference call so those unable to physically attend can participate in planning.
